"Democracy, rights and freedoms" - MRF is aware of our responsibilities. The government should not be shaken. This was stated to journalists in parliament by the chairman of the parliamentary group of the MRF-DPS, Dzhevdet Chakarov.
He commented on the vote held earlier today to include in the agenda the draft resolution proposed by "We continue the change-Democratic Bulgaria" to establish a temporary commission on the influence of Delyan Peevski. The draft resolution was rejected after a re-voting procedure by the plenary hall with the votes of GERB-SDF, "BSP - United Left", "There is such a people" (ITN).
Chakarov commented that they see what the voting is like from both "BSP-United Left", and from "There is such a people" (ITN), and from GERB-SDF. It is obvious to us, it is categorically unacceptable, especially since you know first BSP, and then ITN signed the "sanitary cordon" around Delyan Peevski, Chakarov recalled. In his words, this is unacceptable for MRF-DPS. Let them say whether they have dependencies or not. Moreover, our position is clear and categorical, the "Peevski model" must be dismantled and the functioning of all bodies and institutions must be normalized, Chakarov said.
He recalled that the MRF-DPS came out with clear motives and arguments why they are participating in the formation of the current parliamentary majority, namely to finally find a solution and a way out of the political crisis. We are responsible to the country for the normal functioning of the state and the people we represent. There is still tension, fear and repression - this must be overcome. We also have other strategic goals for the country - the most important thing is to adopt a budget that will set adequate social spending for all policies, to ensure the normal functioning of municipalities and to work to reduce differences in living standards in different regions, Chakarov said. We will follow our principles, we will be responsible to the country, he added.
