Ratcliffe, Rubio, Waltz! This is Donald Trump's team that will negotiate with Putin - 1

The American president reported details of his conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin and indicated the participants in the peace negotiation team from the American side. These are Secretary of State Marco Rubio, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, National Security Advisor Michael Waltz and Ambassador and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff," Trump wrote in Truth Social.

"I just had a long and extremely productive phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin. We discussed Ukraine, the Middle East, energy, artificial intelligence, the strength of the dollar and various other topics. We both reflected on the great history of our nations and the fact that we fought so successfully together in World War II, not forgetting that Russia lost tens of millions of people, and we lost so many too!"

"Each of us spoke of the strengths of our nations and the great benefit that we will one day have from working together. But first, as we both agreed, we want to stop the millions of casualties that are occurring in the war with Russia/Ukraine. President Putin even used my very strong campaign slogan: "COMMON SENSE", Trump wrote.

"We both believe in it very strongly. We agreed to work together, very closely, including visiting each other's nations. We also agreed that our teams will begin negotiations immediately, and we will begin by calling President Zelensky of Ukraine to brief him on the conversation, which I will do right now," he added.

"I have asked Secretary of State Marco Rubio, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, National Security Advisor Michael Walz, and Ambassador and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff to lead the negotiations, which I am confident will be successful," the US president said.

"Millions of people have died in a war that would not have happened if I were president, but it did, so it must end. No more lives must be lost! I want to thank President Putin for the time and effort he put into this call, as well as for the release yesterday of Mark Vogel, a wonderful man whom I personally congratulated last night at the White House. I believe that these efforts will lead to a successful conclusion, hopefully soon!"
