The Administrative Employees' Union "Podkrepa" has announced its readiness to hold protests and strike actions by employees at the Employment Agency, the General Labor Inspectorate and the regional environmental and water inspectorates if a decent increase in salaries in the public sector is not included in the 2025 Budget.
This is stated in a protest declaration by the organization, sent to the chairmen of the parliamentary groups in the 51st National Assembly, BNR reported.
The union has calculated that additional funds in the amount of 560 million leva are needed for the increase in salaries. and another 115 million leva for specific administrations in which salaries are close to the minimum wage and lag significantly behind.
It is in these that social tension is highest and workers are ready to defend their demands with protest actions, the declaration notes.
