Hundreds have blocked access to their homes in a capital district - 1

Hundreds of families are under siege and do not have access to an ambulance and fire department due to the blockade of the entrances to three cooperatives in the capital's "Vitosha" district. The passage of mothers with strollers is also prevented, Nova TV reports. The reason is unsettled ownership and fencing of the plot, but without court permission.

The fence of the neighboring property is a few centimeters away from the fence of the three cooperatives. “We are becoming prisoners in our own homes”, says Father Stefan. Access to the church in the area is also limited.

Two people cannot pass each other due to the distance between the two fences. “There is no way to pass. We have spoken with the legal consultants of the National Automobile Association, the situation is such that no special vehicle can enter – neither an ambulance nor a fire brigade. Not even a stretcher can pass”, people also say.

According to them, if there is no action from the Sofia Municipality, the residents are ready to remove the obstructing fence themselves. The municipality is adamant that the neighboring property is within its legal boundaries.
