The Council of Ministers adopted a decree supplementing Tariff No. 4 for the fees collected in the system of the Ministry of Interior under the State Fees Act, thereby returning the old price for issuing an ID card of 18 leva.
The decision was made at the last cabinet meeting on Wednesday. Last year, the Ministry of Interior began issuing ID cards with a chip containing biometric data, and from January 1 this year. the fee for new personal documents was increased from 18 to 30 leva for a regular order.
With the changes adopted by the government in the tariff for fees collected in the Ministry of Interior system and published in yesterday's special issue of the State Gazette, the price is reduced and is 18 leva for an identity card with a validity period of 10 years for people from 18 to 70 years of age.
The identity card for children from 14 to 18 years of age costs 13 leva. The prices of both documents will be valid until the end of this year. The higher prices apply to applications already submitted before the decree came into force.
According to data from the Ministry of Interior as of September last year The total number of Bulgarians in the country who are without a current permanent address and without an issued identity card is 52,052. Of these, 2,291 people are between the ages of 14 and 18, and 49,761 are over 18. Also in the extraordinary issue of the State Gazette from yesterday, the decree on the implementation of the state budget for this year was published. Thus, in practice, the specified transfers and the additional funds provided to the budget organizations and municipalities begin to be spent.
