The old stock exchange building in central Copenhagen is on fire as emergency crews try to tackle the blaze.
Police in the capital have confirmed receiving reports of smoke in the historic Børsen building. Images shared on social media showed huge plumes of thick, acrid smoke rising into the air as flames engulfed the building.
The local fire department is on its way to the scene, according to local media, who expect a large number of fire engines due to the size of the fire. The area around the building has already been cordoned off.
The building - which dates back to 1625, making it one of the oldest in the city - is currently undergoing renovations and has scaffolding installed outside.
