Over 834,000 photovoltaic modules with a total capacity of 400 MW contains the largest solar park not only in Bulgaria but and throughout Eastern Europe. It is completely ready and located in Apriltsi. 251 MW were put into operation at the end of May, and the rest are in test mode.
The capacity of the park is to supply electricity to 96,000 households.
The RES project of “Inercom“ in Apriltsi, near Pazardzhik, is a joint venture with the Chinese manufacturer of solar panels Huasun Energy. With this deal, the Chinese company is the first in the world to win GW-level orders in the field of HJT. The Apriltsi project represents the world's largest single-site heterojunction solar project, notes Huasun Energy.
What is special about the project in Apriltsi is that the panels are not located entirely in the south, but east-west. Thus, the plant has a higher output in the morning and evening and a lower output in the afternoon. Another feature is that the panels are mounted at a height of 2.2 meters from the ground. Thus, passing under them, if they are in a horizontal position, is easier.
and you can easily walk under them if they are in a horizontal position. The distance between the rows of panels is over 12 meters and they are not shaded. This allows the land to be used even for agricultural purposes.
