The head of the Emirati development company Damac Properties, Hussein Sajuani, is investing about $ 20 billion in the development of data centers for artificial intelligence technologies in the United States. This was stated by the newly elected US President Donald Trump to reporters at his residence in Mar-a-Lago (Florida).
“Damac will invest at least $ 20 billion in the near future in the United States - an amount that could subsequently double“, he said. “The investment will support new data centers and keep America at the forefront of artificial intelligence technologies, which will be in high demand in the coming years.“ As the elected American leader indicated, the first part of the investment project will affect the states of Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Michigan and Indiana.
Trump also noted that the United States will consider any foreign investment exceeding $1 billion under an accelerated procedure.
