Krumovgrad started the new season in the First League with a victory, reported FOCUS.
The hosts beat Slavia 1:0 in the Komatevo district of Plovdiv at the sports complex "Nikola Shterev - Starika".
Defender and captain Bozhidar Katsarov opened the scoring in the 11th minute when he was found by Croatian defender Matej Šimić. In the 66th minute, the scorer Katsarov received a straight red card. In the fourth minute of added time, the midfielder of the guests Emil Martynov left the field early after a second yellow card within 7 minutes.
Next Friday, Krumovgrad will visit Arda at 19:00 in the second round. A day later, Slavia will travel to Razgrad for a meeting with Ludogorets at 21:15.
