Radoslav Yankov set first time in qualifications for the parallel giant slalom of the Snowboard World Cup for men in the Swiss winter center Scuol, BTA reports.
The Bulgarian finished with a total time of 1:23.83 minutes. He was fastest on the red course with 41.07 seconds and set a tenth time on the blue course - 42.76, which was enough for him to win the heats.
Arvid Auner (Austria) came in second with 1:24.07 minutes, and Elias Huber (Germany) was third with 1:24.27 minutes. The actual part of the race starts at 14:15 Bulgarian time.
Yankov has one victory this season in Carezza (Italy), and next weekend he is again among the favorites in front of his home crowd in Bansko.
