Napoli officially announced the signing of Bournemouth midfielder Philip Billing. The midfielder comes on loan with an option to buy for around 10 million euros. First, owner Aurelio De Laurentiis announced the transfer on the social network X, and then the club from Naples did the same, reports gong.bg.
The 28-year-old midfielder will receive one million euros for the next six months in Serie A. If he signs permanently with Napoli, his salary will triple.
Sky Sport Italia reported that Milan tried at the last minute to snatch the nearly 193-centimeter midfielder, but Billing had already given his word to Napoli. He arrives as a replacement for Michael Foloruncho, who was signed from Fiorentina.
Billing becomes the third midfielder to be brought to Napoli by manager Antonio Conte from the Premier League, following the arrivals of Scott McTominay from Manchester United and Billy Gilmour from Brighton earlier in the summer.
