3:0! Man United strengthened Leicester to the Championship VIDEO - 1

Manchester United achieved success with 3:0 in their visit to Leicester in a match from the 29th round of the Premier League, reported sportal.bg.

This success was the fourth for the “Red Devils” against this opponent, after the two teams met in both domestic cup tournaments. The winners were accurate by Rasmus Hoylund (28’) in the first half, Alejandro Garnacho (67’) and Bruno Fernandes (90') were accurate in the second. The captain of the guests also recorded two assists before scoring himself. For Ruben Amorim's players, this was the fourth consecutive match without defeat in the league, which is a certain stabilization in the team's extremely weak campaign.

For their part, Leicester continues to record a historically weak season and tonight the “Foxes” suffered their seventh consecutive home defeat, and in each of these matches they have failed to score a goal. Something that has never happened to any team in the history of the elite division in English football.

The guests managed to get the ball into their opponent's penalty area, but Rasmus Hoylund's shot was inaccurate. The “Foxes” responded with insistent pressure in the next few minutes, which yielded a result in the fourth minute, when Jamie Vardy was brought into a good position, but his shot was saved by Onana. Two minutes later, a good cross from the left wing reached Garnacho, but the Argentinean did not find his bearings at all and was unable to direct the ball towards the goal.

After a quarter of an hour of play, Vardy was again about to come face to face with Onana again after a serious mistake by Victor Lindelof, but the Cameroonian goalkeeper came out and managed to correct the mistake of his colleague in defense. Even in the counterattack, Garnacho fired a shot, but it did not bother Mads Hermansen. In the middle of the first half, Christian Eriksen was very close to scoring an exceptional goal after a corner and a quick combination with Bruno Fernandes, but the Danish playmaker's shot hit the post.

Shortly after that, a long pass could have brought Patson Daka into a good position, but he was excellently, although quite difficultly, stopped by Eden Haven. In the counterattack, a long pass to Rasmus Hoylund found him in a good position, the Danish striker showed speed and then managed to score with his left foot for 1:0. In this way, Hoylund scored his first goal in the last 21 matches for the team, as well as his first in 99 days.

Manchester United's players gradually calmed down the match and in the last minutes of the first half they largely accepted the game in their own half. They made a very serious mistake in passing the ball, which led to chaos in the defense and two consecutive shots by Leicester players, which, however, invariably fell into the body of defenders in red.

“The Foxes” started the second half of the match actively, when Jamie Vardy was again taken out into the corridor, but Aidan Haven managed to block the forward's pass to the invading Daka. However, young defender Haven was injured and was replaced by Toby Collier. This expectedly led to a change in the arrangement of Ruben Amorim's players.

A few minutes later, Manchester United's active press in the forward positions again yielded the result, and the subsequent quick attack led to a goal by Alejandro Garnacho. A VAR review showed that the Argentine winger was offside, and his goal was disallowed. The insistent actions of Ruben Amorim's players in the following minutes nevertheless led to several consecutive crosses. In one of these situations, the ball was passed into the penalty area, and there, without thinking, Garnacho sent the ball into Leicester's net for the second time.

Immediately after the goal, Harry Amas appeared on the pitch for the “Red Devils”, making his debut for the team in the Premier League. Fifteen minutes before the end of regular time, Jamie Vardy dealt with Victor Lindelof on the right wing, although doubts remained about offside. He advanced and passed the ball to the attacking Facundo Buananote in an excellent position, but the Argentine's shot was blocked.

Manchester United's players put an end to the dispute in the last seconds of regular time, when first Casemiro sent an excellent pass in perspective to Diogo Dalot, who immediately found Bruno Fernandes in a good position. The captain of the “Red Devils” without hesitation sent the ball into the Leicester net for the third time and added a goal to his two assists so far. In added time, Ruud van Nistelrooy's players made several attempts to reach at least an honorable goal, but they never managed to score.

With this success, the “Red Devils” climbed to 13th place, three points ahead of Tottenham, who suffered another defeat yesterday. For their part, Leicester continues to sink, with the “Foxes” second to last with only 17 points and nine points from the safety zone.
