Juventus coach Thiago Motta has been subjected to an increasingly serious wave of criticism for the team's performance throughout the campaign and especially in the last two weeks, in which the “Bianconeri” lost catastrophically 4:0 at home to Atalanta and 3:0 away to Fiorentina, sportal.bg reported.
It was in this chorus of critical opinions that the team's former player Marco Tardelli joined, who believes that the bosses of “Allianz Stadium” missed their opportunities to take measures, and now things have gone too far.
“It is not only the last two matches that are the problem. The relationship between Thiago Motta and the team seems completely broken, and he lost the dressing room. The club missed the moment, they never intervened in previous critical moments, they didn't do it now after the loss to Fiorentina. Nothing is right at the moment. The club had two captains - Danilo and Rabiot - and they missed both. Now they find themselves in a position where they have seven or eight players who don't have the character to react to difficulties.
It is still possible for Juventus to reach the top 4, of course, because the threshold for the Champions League is not very high, but I don't see how it will happen. If they get rid of the coach now, it will only increase the chaos, I don't see the point in doing that. At the same time, Thiago Motta is a good coach, I'm convinced, but he failed to understand what Juventus is. At the end of the season, the people at the club will have to sit down at the table and understand what happened during the campaign and what the best solutions are,” said Tardelli, who has 259 appearances for the team in Serie A alone.
