Oliver Kahn is on the verge of a new challenge

Oliver Kahn, who is a former goalkeeper for Bayern Munich and the German national team, is ready to offer 30 million euros to buy the French club Bordeaux, reports sportal.bg. Kahn announced his intention to buy the French club, which was relegated to the fourth division due to financial problems, back in January.
"The goal is for this club to return to Ligue 1 in the coming years. We can achieve it, but everything depends on the agreement we reach“, Kahn said in an interview with "Bild".

Backed by European and Saudi investors, the German assures that the financial part is secured, because he already has an initial offer of 30 million.

Oliver Kahn's first and only experience as a director so far was a failure. Appointed as CEO at Bayern during the season of the last title of the Munich team (2022-2023), Kahn made several mistakes. But the one for which he was fired at the end of the season was the hasty dismissal of coach Julian Nagelsmann in the spring of 2023, in the middle of the championship. Kahn did not accept the termination of the contract by mutual consent and caused a scandal, which is why his contract was terminated unilaterally. He was also not invited to the celebration on the occasion of the title and wrote in "X" that "it was the worst day of his life".
