WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging apps in the world. It is currently available on devices running Android 5.0 or later and iPhones running iOS 12 or later. According to a new report by CanalTech, WhatsApp has stopped receiving updates on a total of 47 mobile phones running older versions of Google and Apple operating systems.

The list of devices that have lost WhatsApp support includes models from Samsung, Motorola, Huawei, Sony, LG and Apple. Some devices on this list are 7 years old or older. Many owners continue to use such devices, but WhatsApp has decided to stop supporting them to focus on new hardware and updated software.
