Kawasaki presented the first hydrogen motorcycle - 1

The novelty is based on the Ninja H2 model and is equipped with a one-liter supercharged four-cylinder engine that has been modified to run on hydrogen instead of gasoline. It is noted that the hydrogen is injected directly into the cylinders, as the motorcycle works on the traditional scheme of the internal combustion engine.

The engine isn't the only change to the bike, as engineers have been forced to install hydrogen canisters as well as the actual "hydrogen fuel delivery system". These components are placed at the back and look like traditional travel bags.

Kawasaki staged the first demonstration performance of its hydrogen motorcycle at the Suzuka Circuit during the Coca-Cola Suzuka 8-Hour Endurance Race. The trials were the culmination of months of work by the engineering team as the project launched in March 2023.

Although the bike is a prototype, Kawasaki plans to put this hydrogen-powered bike into production, which is expected to happen from early 2030. See more in the video.
