Top Chinese Robotics Manufacturers Showcase Their Latest Humanoid Robots and robot dogs at the World Robot Conference in 2024, expressing optimism that these human-like and dog-like robots will enter every home in the future, reports “Reuters”, quoted by NOVA.
At the exhibition site, humanoid robots were seen performing simple tasks such as collecting objects, crossing obstacles and imitating human gestures and expressions.
Sotirios Stassinopoulos, product manager at a humanoid robot company, believes that the humanoid robot market could grow to ten times the size of the market in the future, predicting that every household will eventually have 1-2 humanoid robots.< /p>
Currently, humanoid robots are mainly used for simple inspection and internal logistics tasks in industrial production.
„In the field of firefighting, during this year's national fire drills, our robot dog was used in a live broadcast in response to chemical plant leaks. It was equipped with gas sensors and sent to hazardous facilities. Once the area was deemed safe, other robots were sent in for additional tasks, such as excavation. Therefore, in the future, the robot dog may replace humans in performing tasks that are potentially harmful or involve high temperatures. With the advancement of technology and improvements in algorithms, the robot can take on even more human tasks,” commented Meng Yuen, manager of a robot manufacturing company.
