The Airhart Sling is based on a version of the TSi model by Sling Aircraft. The streamlined aircraft is equipped with a Rotax 915iS engine, providing a cruising speed of 274 km/h. The flight range reaches 1,482 km, and the fuel consumption is 28 liters per hour.
Sling lacks many of the usual controls. For example, there is no so-called crank or pedals. Instead, the cockpit uses a single control stick called Airhart Assist.
The pilot just has to push the stick in the direction he wants to fly, and the automated system makes the plane take off and land by itself.
Airhart Aeronautics is currently accepting pre-orders for the first batch of 50 aircraft. A $1000 deposit is required to reserve. The price of the Airhart Sling is $500,000. The first deliveries are expected in 2026. See more.
