The Central Election Commission of Georgia the counting of votes from all polling stations has ended, and the ruling party "Georgian Dream" received 53.92% of the vote.

Four opposition parties enter the parliament and receive a total of 37.78%.

Parliamentary elections were held in the country yesterday. The main struggle was between the ruling Georgian Dream party, which advocates maintaining relations with Russia, and opposition forces, which Moscow says are financed by Western grants.

The night before, the leaders of the opposition parties "Unity - National Movement", "Coalition for Change" and "Strong Georgia" refused to recognize the official data. Today, the same decision was made by the "For Georgia" party, and the opposition parties announced that they will start street protests.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said the opposition's refusal to admit defeat was a hopeless attempt to justify its failure to voters. He stressed that the first session of the parliament will take place ten days after the announcement of the final results, even if the president refuses to appoint one.

By law, the winning party can nominate a candidate for prime minister. For its approval, the support of 76 deputies out of 150 is needed. According to the forecasts, "The Georgian dream" will get 90 mandates.
