More than 100 people were killed , and hundreds injured in an airstrike carried out yesterday by the army on a market in a town in the province of North Darfur, in Western Sudan, a pro-democracy activist organization reported, as quoted by BTA.
The airstrike took place on the day of the city's weekly market, when local residents from various villages were there to shop.
Women and children are among the victims.
According to the organization “Lawyers for Emergencies”, this attack is part of the atrocities committed during the ongoing war in Sudan between the regular army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Force (RSF).
