A Russian drone raid was carried out overnight in the Boryspil region near Kiev, which led to a large fire in a warehouse, the Ukrainian rescue service reports. This event attracted the attention of the Ukrainian authorities and media, which are reporting on the situation in real time, News.bg reports.
Warehouse fire and rescue services actions
According to data from the State Emergency Service, the fire in the warehouse covered an area of 15 thousand square meters. 72 firefighters with 24 pieces of equipment, including a fire train, participated in extinguishing the fire. Rescue operations continued into the night, and officials assured that no casualties or injuries were recorded as a result of the incident.
Information about the cause of the fire and the contents of the warehouse was not disclosed by the rescue services. In addition, it was not confirmed whether the fire was the result of a direct hit by a drone or not.
Drone raid on Kiev
In parallel with the incident in Boryspil, local authorities reported a night raid by Russian drones against Kiev. According to the information, all unmanned aircraft flying towards the capital were neutralized with the help of Ukrainian air defense. The local military administration confirmed that the drones were immediately identified and eliminated before they directly threatened Kiev.
Flying drones and the protection of the capital
Overnight, observers reported at least five drones approaching Kiev. By 6 a.m. local time, the Ukrainian Air Force confirmed that the Russian drone raid was almost over. Only one drone was still flying in the Chernihiv region, posing no immediate threat to the capital.
At all times, authorities maintained high alert and acted with synchronized forces to prevent possible attacks, all under the coordination of the Ukrainian air defense.
