A Russian missile attack carried out today caused the death of one person and serious damage in Kiev, Ukrainian authorities reported. According to the head of the Kiev city military administration, Sergei Popko, the attack led to fires in several buildings and damaged a number of business buildings, BTA reports.
According to Popko, the attack was carried out with eight missiles, including hypersonic "Dagger" and ballistic "Iskander".
Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that at least seven people were injured as a result of the attack, four of whom were hospitalized. Earlier today, the Ukrainian Air Force said it had taken action to repel the missile attack.
Witnesses told Reuters they heard several explosions after an airstrike was launched.
Missile strikes were also reported on the city of Kherson in southern Ukraine, killing one person and wounding six.
