The Ukrainian army has the necessary support, but it is essential to increase investment from international partners in the defense sector, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his evening video address, Ukrinform reported, quoted by BTA.
"Our industry has potential. Countries, especially in Europe, are ready to cooperate with Ukraine and invest in our arms production. And our diplomats have clear tasks. We must increase funding from our partners for Ukraine's defense. And in particular, this should become a KPI - key performance indicator - of Ukrainian diplomacy, "said Zelensky.
During the meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff, Zelensky received numerous reports on the supply of troops, weapons, procurement and defense contracts.
"All this is available. The deliveries are in place. We need a higher speed of deliveries and much more such systems, such weapons that will help us save more lives of our soldiers, our people. More orders for unmanned aircraft. More investments in the development of robotic systems. And more deliveries of basic weapons. All the necessary orders are available," he added.
