Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic told citizens in Trstenik that the mass protests of students and the opposition are an attempt by foreign intelligence services to destroy the country, RIA Novosti reported.
He stressed that the problem is not that political opponents want to overthrow the current head of state, but that they want to destroy Serbia.
“What we have seen in recent months is a direct attempt by foreign intelligence agencies to destroy our country“, Vucic stressed.
Mass student protests in Serbia have been continuing for the third month after the tragedy in Novi Sad on November 1, 2024. On January 28, the country's Prime Minister Miloš Vučević resigned amid protests and a mass strike by students and businesses.
