The Indian capital New Delhi was shaken by an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.0, AFP reports, News.bg reports.
According to preliminary data, there were no injuries or serious damage, but the tremor caused concern among residents.
The US Geological Survey specifies that the epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 kilometers.
"We hope you are all safe, Delhi", local police said in a post on social networks, providing an emergency helpline.
Northern India is located in a seismically active zone and earthquakes in the region are a common occurrence.
