Ukraine is in a difficult situation and citizens should not be deceived that everything is fine. The situation at the front is now very difficult and citizens should understand the importance of replenishing the ranks of the defense forces and continuing to attract help to the troops.

This was said by political scientist and military officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Kyrylo Sazonov to “Fabrika Novin“, UNIAN agency reported.

If you tell people that everything is “fine“ at the front, then citizens start to forget that there is a war going on. This creates a false opinion in society, which questions the importance of military service. This does not work in favor of Ukraine, Sazonov said.

“The situation in 2025 is difficult. Very difficult. This is the last year of the war, but it is very difficult“, Sazonov noted, indicating that Ukraine risks losing if assistance is not provided to the army.

At the same time, when reports of Ukrainian losses come, people really do not understand what losses the Russians are suffering at the same time. Therefore, according to the military, the public does not understand that the Russians do not have enough forces for a major offensive.

In three months, the Russian losses in 2025 are greater than in all of 2022, the Ukrainian military said. According to the General Staff of Kiev, since the beginning of the full-scale war, 926,000 Russian soldiers have been eliminated at the front. These data have not been confirmed by independent sources. Both Moscow and Kiev, for obvious reasons, are keeping the number of their losses on the front a secret.

Russian President Vladimir Putin supports the idea of a ceasefire in Ukraine, but a number of issues need to be resolved for this purpose, Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov told journalists yesterday, as quoted by TASS. According to Peskov, Moscow and Washington have not yet set exact dates for their next consultations. "There really should be a continuation. This is a common understanding. There is no specific day yet," he said.
