We are talking about limiting the sales of AI chips that are used in data centers. The restrictions may be announced as early as January 10. They will probably be introduced both at the country level and for specific companies, the publication notes.
Nvidia, for its part, told Bloomberg that "last-minute restrictions" will not be able to "reduce the risk of abuse" However, AI technologies “will threaten US economic growth and leadership.“
The exported chips are microprocessors designed to speed up the work of AI systems. They are used to process large amounts of data and perform complex calculations.
