Economic damage from the wildfires raging in Southern California could reach $135-150 billion, according to Bill Waddell, a representative of the consulting company AccuWeather.
“AccuWeather has revised its preliminary estimate of total damage and economic losses from the wildfires in Southern California to $135-150 billion“, Waddell wrote in X. The company had previously estimated the damage at $52-57 billion.
According to an AccuWeather representative, the company's meteorologists predict that gusty winds and an increased threat of wildfires will continue in the region into the next week.
