A prototype center for the development and launch of production of civilian and military products has been created by Concern “Kalashnikov“ JSC, the press service of the concern reported.
“One of the key areas of activity of the new center will be the prototyping of self-made cars. An important step for this is the start of work on the revival of the legendary Izh brand,” they report.
In 2024, the concern released a limited batch of two-wheeled Izh motorcycles, which included historical replicas of models produced at the Izhevsk Machine-Building Plant (now - JSC Concern Kalashnikov) from 1951 to 1990. At the same time, the concern emphasized that the concern's electric combat motorcycles were tested in the border areas of the special military operations zone.
Such a high demand from collectors for historical replicas of Izhevsk motorcycles and constructive feedback from the special operations zone regarding BME (combat electric motorcycles) confirm the possibility of further development of the concern's motorcycle industry.
The center introduces new technologies into the production of prototypes of motorcycle products. We are already developing our own lines of ATVs and jets, Kalashnikov added.
