The price of Bitcoin has hit a new all-time high, surpassing $109,500, according to data from the Binance platform. As of 08:56 Bulgarian time, the cryptocurrency had risen by 3.63% to $109,588.
The last time the price of Bitcoin reached an all-time high was on December 17, 2024, when it rose to $108,353.
Bitcoin is a decentralized system of the cryptocurrency of the same name, based on blockchain technology, which can be “mined“ by any user who is a participant in the system. To do this, you need to create new system blocks.
The concept was published in November 2008 by its author (probably a team of authors) under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. Bitcoin's popularity has only reached its peak in recent years. Bitcoin emissions are naturally limited; currently most of the bitcoins have already been “mined“.
