We learned from the media that GERB is terminating the negotiations, stated "Democratic Bulgaria" (DB) in a press release regarding the negotiations for a regular government. Today at 16:20, another meeting of the negotiations between GERB-SDF, "Democratic Bulgaria", "BSP-United Left" and "There is such a people" ended. At this stage, the agreement for joint governance is not completed, although it is at a very advanced stage, the political force indicates.
For "Democratic Bulgaria" the issue of the personality of the prime minister and the personal composition of the government has always been subject to a completed agreement and the holding of a leadership meeting. This position was explicitly confirmed once again by us at today's meeting, as well as our position for a non-partisan, mutually acceptable figure for the Prime Minister, the DB also stated.
Earlier today, GERB-SDF announced that they were terminating negotiations to form a government after the refusal of “Democratic Bulgaria“ to support the first nomination of GERB-SDF in the person of Boyko Borisov for Prime Minister and the second nomination - of Rosen Zhelyazkov.
