„Everything that happened in the BSP is a result of accumulated dependencies in a certain circle. The so-called officials made a coup and betrayed Ninova. But, what is more frightening is that they betrayed the voters of the BSP, the ideas of the leftists, lied to them and traded them unscrupulously“.
This is how Ivan Chenchev answered in the studio of „Outside the Pattern“ on SKAT TV when asked if the BSP had been penetrated and by whom. And he added:
„The same is true of ITN and Slavi Trifonov. What have we not heard from the podium to say against Boyko Borisov, today they are in a coalition with him. A compromise, say the partners in the new coalition. Are there any naive people who would believe this? They proclaim that this compromise is in the name of Bulgaria, that it is important because of the Recovery and Sustainability Plan. Has the PVU become important now? It has been on the agenda for the second, third year. Why then did they not come together like this?
Let us not pass over Boyko Borisov, let us not belittle his actions. Because only 30 days ago he was saying „never with one or the other DPS“, Chenchev pointed out.
„Bulgaria needs a regular government, but not in such a way, not with such people. Yesterday I read – in the cabinet of “Zhelyazkov“ there were 6 investigated and indicted ministers?! What is this?“, reacted the long-time MP from Sofia region.
“Morale is disappearing, the inconvenient ones are being removed, more and more spineless politicians with addictions. Because to become a servant means that you are being held with something“, said Ivan Chenchev and answered the host's question:
“I am calm - I have not betrayed anyone, I have not betrayed the ideas and policies that we have defended. And I continue to do so, since I believe that it was right, for example, to raise pensions. Borisov used to say that it was almost a communist utopia for textbooks to be free. Well, textbooks are free. This is social policy. The strongest countries in the world have the strongest social policies“.
“If something is going to happen – it will start from the people. It cannot start from a fake government and a fake parliament, born from fake elections. I have the feeling that this time the people saw through what is happening“, pointed out Ivan Chenchev.
And when asked where the new party, the creation of which was announced by Cornelia Ninova, came from, he said: “Rebellious Bulgaria“ was born because we were looking for a specific reason or occasion. There are as many such reasons and occasions as you want. “Rebellious Bulgaria“ was born from the energy of many people, of like-minded people, irreconcilable with the model that they are trying to impose on us as a society. Now we are a national movement, which will later grow into a party“.
“We have proven that we are not job hunters. We have had offers for posts. We have refused them. Because our fight is for a new type of politics“, Chenchev said in response to questions in the studio and emphasized:
“There is energy for this. People are calling from everywhere and with different beliefs, they are interested in what our program will be. I believe that there will be many rebellious“.
