After the elections, GERB-SDF stated that the main priority is the stability of the country. We outlined the potential partners and implemented a government with the GERB mandate. With colleagues – BSP and ITN, the main thing was that we united around responsibility, statesmanlike behavior and important topics for society, and above all, avoiding new elections.
This was said in an interview with the Bulgarian National Radio by the deputy and chairwoman of the 50th National Assembly Raya Nazaryan.
She shared that all of the partners have made compromises:
"Borisov has made far-sighted, responsible and statesmanlike concessions, in order for the state to be well, because for him this is a priority. We are participating with our most experienced politicians, who have proven themselves as experts and who can manage processes and make the best decisions."
Nazaryan pointed out that the goal is "to put an end to the political crisis and achieve positive results for society and the state".
And Borisov will always participate because he is the chairman of the parliamentary group "and all decisions will be discussed with him".
Raya Nazaryan explained that the coalition agreement on governance provides for a decision-making mechanism and shared responsibility will be borne by all participants.
The distribution of the second echelon of posts begins on Tuesday.
"Then is the first meeting of the body - the Joint Governance Council with 3 representatives from each of the countries that signed the agreement and two representatives from the APS (Dogan's DPS), who will be part of the parliamentary majority. The approach to distributing ministerial posts is consensus and we do not have a quota distribution. Expertise will be the leading factor, especially in ministries where there is a minister from one political force, deputy ministers will be from other parties, in order to have control and stability", announced Raya Nazaryan.
Only in the direction of entering the eurozone will GERB-SDF not compromise, because it is the right direction.
And about the opposition in the National Assembly, she commented:
"PP-DB are starting to fixate, because they obviously still cannot swallow their ego from the low election results. And now they will ruin what the responsible politicians have achieved. They will only talk "where Peevski is peeking from". But it became clear that he is peeking from their phones. Petkov and Denkov have a long-standing relationship and have pursued political goals together. They have managed to pack themselves together now as an opposition, and they will have to vote together. The PP is trying to label and destroy. Destabilizing normal socio-political life is their trademark."
