The caretaker government left the state in a stable financial position. This was said in an interview with bTV by Rosen Karadimov - former caretaker minister of innovation and chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB).
According to him, during the time he held the post of caretaker minister of innovation and growth, who is also the principal of BDB, he managed to submit to the Council of Ministers a new strategy for the state bank, which improved its work.
„4 months after the adoption of the strategy, the bank invested 180 million leva in industrial parks, 20 million in state health facilities, and invested over 5 million in the export policy of Bulgarian companies. It is currently financing „Bulgartransgaz“ with 50 million leva. BDB is powerful "an instrument in the implementation of state policies," Karadimov summarized.
The other thing he learned from his time in the executive branch is why it is important for the state to have a regular government. "The art of politics is to create the rules, every other profession follows the rules. Here, the rules are created in parliament. If the parliament does not function and you do not have a parliamentary majority behind you, you simply follow the rules," Karadimov explained the relationship.
According to him, foreign investments are declining not only in Bulgaria, but also in Europe as a whole.
