“It is necessary to strengthen the interaction with the BSP representatives in local government. This could be a council or network of mayors and municipal councilors, who know the problems very well and have the resources to propose working solutions to the government and parliament. In this way, we will also help them to realize their commitments to citizens, but will also assist the BSP to form feasible and realistic policies for the people.“ This was stated by the deputy chairman of the BSP and candidate for chairman of the party, Kristian Vigenin, at a meeting with socialists in Kyustendil. He also reminded of his idea to form a council of regional chairmen of the BSP, who would be an active participant in decision-making in the party: "First, the people should be heard and then the decisions should be made." According to him, the future Executive Bureau of the BSP should include ministers, members of parliament, representatives of local authorities and the party's associations - women, youth and veterans. This will achieve maximum representation, which guarantees that all opinions in the party are taken into account. “The place of decision-making should return to the BSP, to its collective bodies“, he argues.

“I have an idea to create a fund on a project basis in the BSP, from which initiatives of local party structures would be financed. This is a way to encourage activity in the party“, offered another idea of his, Kristian Vigenin. He warned that large donors - donors to the BSP should be avoided, because this creates a dangerous dependence in future political actions. “There are modern and effective methods for raising donations. It is not difficult to organize a system of support for the BSP through SMS or through the party website“, he suggested.
Kristian Vigenin emphasized that all the changes he proposes are dictated by his desire to help the BSP become stronger, and the voice of the socialists be heard clearer and louder in society. “We need a clear plan, we need to put our party in order“, he commented.

„Ideally, the BSP must enter the rhythm of the times we live in. Everything we decide and aim for must be concrete enough so that delegates and socialists can then demand results from the future chairman and leadership“, believes the candidate for chairman of the party.
„I propose not just theoretical propositions, but solutions that are dictated by my experience. I have the knowledge and energy to take the party to another level. The BSP needs someone who can organize peace in the party. I have proven that I can close the rifts and unite around causes“ - this is how Kristian Vigenin justified his motivation to enter the race for chairman of the BSP.
