Drug use by children and adolescents threatens our future as a nation, said President Rumen Radev after the meeting of the National Security Advisory Council (NSAC).
The topic of the NSAC is “Risks and threats to national security arising from the spread of narcotic and intoxicating substances among the younger generation and their abuse“.
The President's Security Council includes the Speaker of the National Assembly Natalia Kiselova, Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov, Minister of Interior Daniel Mitov, Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev, Minister of Finance Temenuzhka Petkova, Chairman of the National Security Agency Plamen Tonchev, the Chief of Defense Emil Eftimov, the Chairman of the State Intelligence Agency; Antoine Gechev, the Secretary of the Security Council and one representative from each parliamentary group.
Also participating in today's meeting of the Security Council are the Minister of Health Silvi Kirilov and the Minister of Youth and Sports Ivan Peshev.
