The co-chairman of "We continue the change" Kiril Petkov has waived his parliamentary immunity on his second charge as well. Petkov has given written consent to the initiation of criminal prosecution against him. This was announced by the Speaker of the Parliament Natalia Kiselova in connection with a request received from the acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov.

"By letter dated March 7 this year, MP Kiril Petkov informed the Speaker of the National Assembly that he gives consent to the initiation of criminal prosecution against him under pre-trial proceedings number 137 of 2024, according to the inventory of the Commission for Combating Corruption, according to the inventory of the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office, in connection with a request received on February 28, 2025. in the National Assembly a request from the acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov".

With a letter, the Speaker of the National Assembly notified the acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov of the written consent given by the Member of Parliament, with a certified copy of it attached, Kiselova also announced.

On February 28, the acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov submitted to the registry of the 51st National Assembly requests to bring to criminal liability two Members of Parliament - B. Bojanov and K. Petkov, upon proposals from the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office. With regard to K. Petkov, the Prosecutor General's request states that there is sufficient evidence of an attempted coercion.
