The person guilty of causing the death of the football player and coach Ferrario Spasov in a car accident was sentenced.
25-year-old Nacho Panteleev from Lyaskovets received a five-year prison sentence.
He was held under permanent arrest in the courtroom, Nova TV reports.
We recall that on November 11, 2023, at around 4:40 p.m. on the Sofia-Varna road, in the territory of Veliko Tarnovo, Panteleev was driving at an excessive speed – 165 km/h, with a permitted speed of 90 km/h.
He overtook without ensuring sufficient lateral distance between his car and that of Ferrari Spasov, and as a result caused an accident through negligence.
The accident caused an injury incompatible with Spasov's life. The act was determined to be a particularly serious case.
