Two protests are taking place tonight in Sofia. One is by the initiative “Justice for Everyone“ and is under the slogan “#WHO is blocking the Constitution!“ in front of the Palace of Justice. The second is on “Independence“ Square and is organized by the “Majesty“ party.
The reason for people to gather in front of the Palace of Justice is the unprecedented address by the President of the Constitutional Court, which explained that the CEC and “Information Services“, through signals to the prosecutor's office, have obstructed the work of the court.
We recall that the prosecutor's office requested that the Constitutional Court send them materials related to the pending case. The court came out with a position that they are independent of the three authorities and that they are not obliged to provide documents in an unfinished case.
The organizers announced that such protests are taking place today in Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas, Ruse, Veliko Tarnovo and Pleven. The demonstration took the form of a procession along “Alabin“ Street, “Graf Ignatiev“ Street, “G. S. Rakovski“ Street and reached the National Assembly.

The Sofia Directorate of Internal Affairs is taking all necessary measures to protect public order and traffic safety in the capital due to the two protests expected today, the police announced.
