The events of recent days have led to institutional tension. The experts were categorical that every single lack in the ballots was recorded. The Constitutional Court has been practically inactive. This was commented on by Tsveta Rangelova from "Vazrazhdane" in the program "Denyat ON AIR".
According to her, the Central Election Commission (CEC), the Constitutional Court (CS) and "Information Service" (IS) are passing the ball to each other. The MP from "Vazrazhdane" is of the opinion that there is a lack of communication and a desire to answer the question of whether the elections were fair.
"The Constitutional Court has quite a few prominent Bulgarian lawyers working there. They are looking for a political goal. The authorities are becoming more and more politicized and create the impression that they are highly dependent politically and are probably carrying out orders from one or another political force", Rangelova told Bulgaria ON AIR.
She is adamant that the disappearance of ballots is a crime. "The way it happened will not lead to answers. The Constitutional Court was aware of the lack of whole bags back in January. It should have notified the prosecutor's office and said what the real numbers were that should be summed up", Rangelova explained.
According to her, it seems that the Constitutional Court is covering up crimes. "It is unacceptable for the prosecutor's office to interfere in the work of any judicial body. It is unacceptable and illegal. The Constitutional Court is independent under the Constitution, but in practice it is dependent", Rangelova also said.
According to the MP from "Vazrazhdane" one of the huge problems is the return of the paper ballot, which "we must completely eliminate".
Rangelova is of the opinion that the Constitutional Court and the Central Election Commission are "extremely compromised".
