We are witnessing illiteracy of members of sectional election commissions. The method of voting and reporting must change radically. And indeed, one hundred percent machine voting is one of the ways to deal with this problem. It would be a step towards restoring trust in the elections. This was stated by President Rumen Radev to students from the Plovdiv University "Paisiy Hilendarski", BTA reports.
"The institutions delegitimized each other. This really totally repels people from the electoral process. It is unacceptable for a democratic state, because fair elections are the foundation of democracy," Radev added.
According to him, the most important component for successful leadership is personal example. "When the government manages to convince young people that it is pure and blameless in its intentions, that it acts from principled positions, then the youth will follow the government. Otherwise, the state is not led by falsehood and manipulation," the head of state also said.
Radev visited the educational institution at the invitation of the Student Council to deliver a lecture on the topic “The place and role of young people in Bulgaria in the dynamic world of the 21st century”.
