After the decision of the Constitutional Court, the ball is in the court of the CEC and "Information Service", mathematician Prof. Mikhail Konstantinov told bTV.
He specified that the 16 deputies declared illegally elected do not mean the loss of 16 seats in parliament, because there will be a redistribution of the mandates of the parties themselves by regions.
„Our electoral system in this regard is ironclad, once the votes are known – the mandates are known absolutely firmly. Nothing can be touched anymore. If as a result of the new votes „Veličie“ jump the 4 percent barrier, they will get 10 deputies“, commented Prof. Konstantinov.
The case is very reminiscent of 2009, when the Constitutional Court annulled the elections in 20 sections in Turkey, in which 18,000 votes were lost, as a result of which the MRF lost one mandate, and three other mandates were redistributed in the country due to the peculiarities of the Bulgarian system“, the mathematician also explained.
