The co-chairman of “We continue the change“ Kiril Petkov described Delyan Peevski's idea of creating a state-owned commercial company, which would trade in food products, which are primarily from Bulgarian producers, through a chain of stores, as wild populism, reports novini.bg.
“Peevski would have set up a state-owned store. He would have sold cheap tomatoes at the post office or something like that. Complete absurdity! A person who overeats every day will feed the poor. There will probably be huge thefts of yellow cheese and cheese in the villages. If they want to do populism, at least do constructive populism. They rejected national ideas like the renovation of Shipka," Petkov reminded journalists in parliament.
The former prime minister also added that GERB is using "Veličie" to officially bring Peevski into power, which "they have wanted and dreamed of for years."
According to him, yesterday the ruling coalition was "raped" by Peevski even before the new deputies arrived.
We are a party that looks to Europe and that wants to ensure prosperity for Bulgarian citizens. All our measures were social, without burdening the budget. Anyone who wants to support our measures is welcome, Petkov specified when asked by a journalist whether they would work together with "Veličie".
