At this stage, the government looks stable, with a clear program. BSP has made a clear statement that we are the social pillar in this government. It is evident from many of the successes we have achieved within the budget. She stated this in the studio of "Speak Now" on BNT, MEP and member of the Executive Bureau of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) Tsvetelina Penkova.
She gave examples of what has been done so far by the government:
"Regarding the increase in pensions by 8.6%, we kept our promise to continue the "Swiss rule" from July 1, free medicines for children up to 7 years of age. Of course, there is still much to be desired and we will continue to evaluate social policies."
Each of the political forces that have given their support to the government has the right to a different political decision - this is how Penkova commented on the possibility of the MRF-DPS (APS) rejecting their support for the cabinet next week and explained:
"When political decisions are made in the situation, we must be responsible, regardless of which political force we are from, because chaotically throwing the state into political uncertainty at the moment, in a situation in which we still have a budget that meets the social demands of the people, but for two months I believe there is stability."
Tsvetelina Penkova added that the APS really need to assess how they will motivate such actions based on demands that are not clear or publicly expressed.
