For two weeks, we watched the gathering of votes for the vote of no confidence - walking around ports, showing pipes, gestures towards business. This was stated by Emil Dimitrov - Revizoro, former Minister of Environment, on bTV.
„As a matter of mathematics, the vote does not come out. However, the environment is very unstable - we see an opposition that is quite heterogeneous and attacks from different positions, the president appears as a critic“, commented political scientist Tsvetanka Andreeva.
Political scientist Daniel Smilov specified: „From the very beginning of this cabinet, Delyan Peevski has been incorporated into this majority. In the beginning, his influence was exclusively through GERB. Now, if DPS-DPS comes out, this majority will officially rely on Peevski and accordingly his influence will be greater. And I think that a vote on foreign policy would not pass.“
„Judicial arbitrariness, cases are being pushed with a thick wad of money so that they do not open. Apparently Teodora Georgieva agreed to take the post, and then they got to her head. She had enough, she resigned and now people have become active against her. Obviously we have interference in cases that are being investigated by the European Public Prosecutor's Office. The fight for votes has been decided, the vote will not pass. Hopefully, there will be no exclamations of "bitter" in the hall, because there will be a new married couple“, Revizoro also commented.
According to Andreeva, the story is different: “This is a European prosecutor who is associated with “We continue the change“. She participated in the prosecution against Borisov when he was arrested, although she was elected during the GERB era. A European prosecutor, corrupt, is more dangerous than local corrupt magistrates and politicians. If the PP-DB hall does not support the government, and Peevski does, the political landscape changes. Otherwise, the difference between “Vazrazhdane“ and PP-DB is blurred.“
Smilov believes that it is absurd for Georgieva to be associated with PP. “All sorts of moves are being made to cover up the case, but the problem is serious.“
“The DPS needed this split, to come to light. We were talking about decades of behind-the-scenes action“, Andreeva also said.
“The exit of the DPS-DPS from the majority will put the government in a difficult situation, especially in terms of reputation“, Smilov believes.
