The number of newly granted pensions increased by 9,400 last year compared to 2023, according to data from the National Social Security Institute.
109,600 people received a pension, of which 41% - personal disability, and here the growth compared to the previous year is 30 percent.
39,700 people were granted a personal disability pension last year and their number increased by nearly 9,200 compared to 2023.
The average age at which they received this pension is 54 years and 11 months, and the average length of service they had is 16 years and 1 month.
Of the total number of new pensioners, those who retired up to one year before reaching the required age, but had the required length of service, is nearly 7900 and increases by over 1000 compared to the previous year and reaches 15.2 percent of all new ones.
Another 3100 are retirees from the first and second labor categories, and here compared to the previous year there is a noticeable decrease of 46 percent or 2600 people.
The average age of retirees was 64 years and 2 months and marks an increase of almost 2 months, with every third new retiree being under the required age for last year.
