Prof. Rumyana Kolarova: The vote of no confidence in the cabinet will first of all show the state of the opposition - 1

The political week will prove to be extremely dynamic, raising a number of questions about the future of the opposition, the stability of the government and the future of the MRF. Political scientists Prof. Rumyana Kolarova and Tsvetanka Andreeva expressed their opinion to "Denyat ON AIR" that the upcoming vote of no confidence will not lead to the fall of the cabinet, but will reveal the strategic positions of the various parties.
"It will first of all show the state of the opposition. In fact, as we know well and have sufficient experience, every vote of no confidence is, first of all, an activity of the opposition. And when I say that it will show the state of the opposition, I mean that, as you can see, in order to initiate a vote of no confidence, there must be some kind of consolidation. In this case, three formations are actually joining forces and grouping together to initiate it," commented Prof. Kolarova to Bulgaria ON AIR.
One of the most discussed topics remains the internal dynamics in the MRF and the influence of Ahmed Dogan. The emergence of a new faction and speculation about the creation of a new party suggest that Dogan's positions are no longer so dominant.

"When the MRF split and this conflict arose, not only did two strong figures clash, but also two different visions for the development of the party. Dogan's period in the MRF as a balancer and strategist in the second position - a behind-the-scenes player in the agreements for support of Bulgarian governments in recent decades - is practically over. Peevski has brought the MRF's policy to the leadership level," said Tsvetanka Andreeva.
According to experts, Peevski has successfully brought the MRF's policy to the leadership level, relying on direct and ambitious speech. Whether this will lead to a complete replacement of Dogan and a final division in the MRF remains to be seen.

The vote of no confidence has not only domestic political, but also foreign political dimensions. The main clash is expected to be between the pro-Western parties and the Eurosceptic formations, political scientists believe.
