The protest is under the slogan "Enough Death on the Road". Around 11:00 a.m. everyone will head to the road connecting Pleven and the "Hemus" motorway to close it for about an hour. The organizers of the civic initiatives plan to go out and block the first-class road at the junction for the village of Telish, as well as in the area of the gas station near the village of Radomirtsi. Many people are holding a photo of 12-year-old Siyana.
The protests under the slogan "Bulgaria has no children to kill" have been called in front of the courthouses in the country, as well as in front of the Council of Ministers in Sofia.
People are turning to the institutions with a request for decisive effective measures to stop the madness on the roads, but they are also turning to society to be more responsible on the road. Traffic in the area is currently in the so-called "Triangle of Power" has not been stopped. The protest will continue until 1:00 p.m.
"At this stage, we are fighting not only with murderers on the road, with repeat offenders, but we are having the greatest difficulties with the Bulgarian state administration. We have two very clear appeals to citizens - one appeal is to the citizens - to realize that we ourselves are half of the problem with our failure to comply with the laws, with our savage behavior. The second categorical appeal is to the rulers for a comprehensive state concept that will deal with road vandalism, a concept that we can see as soon as possible, giving results", a protester shared with the Bulgarian National Radio.
"The demands are peaceful, fair and honest", said on Friday, in an interview with "Horizont", the girl's father, Nikolay Popov.
