He was a man completely devoted to God, who until his last breath wanted to be close to people. Yesterday we saw him come out of the balcony to give his blessing on the occasion of the great holiday of the believers. This was commented on Nova TV by Iva Mihaylova, spokesperson for the Catholic Church in Bulgaria.
„His messages were universal and touched the hearts of all people. His last meeting was with American Vice President J.D. Vance. And migrants, the outcasts, the homeless had a place in the heart of the Pope, because he followed the example of Jesus Christ”, commented Mihaylova.
She added that Pope Francis was a great reformer, although he did not change a single dogma. "He wanted to reform the papal administration, the way the church is run. He showed his character in all of this. His legacy is yet to be revealed," Mihaylova said.
She explained that the service will be held at St. Peter's Basilica on April 23.
