ΠThe previous attempt to sell the assets of MBAL-Oryahovo has failed. The land, buildings and equipment of the bankrupt municipal hospital were put up for auction at a starting price of 2.497 million leva, but no one showed up wanting to acquire them. This is just another episode in the more than 10-year-long painful separation of the northwestern municipality from its medical institution, recalls money.bg.

Established in 1879, the hospital in Opyakhovo is one of the oldest in our country. It acquired its current appearance in the period 1957-1980, when a modern, for that time, facility was built.

ΠLike most municipal medical institutions in our country, Πthe past did not reflect well on it, as during the first decade of the new century, the accumulated debts already called into question the survival of MBAL-Opyakhovo. Thus, against the backdrop of over 2 million leva in debt and months of unpaid salaries to staff, the hospital stopped accepting patients at the end of 2011 and went bankrupt in 2012.

Since then, the trustee has tried several times to sell the property of "Multidisciplinary Hospital for Active Treatment - Opyakhovo" EOOD - all that with no luck.

For at least 2.5 million leva, the potential buyer would receive about 85 hectares of land, on which various buildings are located - the hospital buildings, warehouses and garages. The appraiser has determined the market price of the buildings at 1.486 million leva, and for the land and infrastructure improvements - 1.024 million. leva, and the total liquidation value (i.e. the highest price at which a sale is likely to be achieved) is 2.035 million leva.
